Air Curtains

Restricts entry of dust, smoke, insects, prevent loss of conditioned air from premises, maintains humidity, clean room and hygiene in the premises.

Salient Features :
  • JMT Air Curtain are available in four series with outlet velocity ranging 12 mtrs./sec., 16 mtrs./sec., 18 mtrs./sec. and 22 mtrs./sec. In each series, models are available to suit door widths from 0.9 m to 2 m.
  • JMT Air curtains are also available with Flame Proof Motor in SS Cabinets and CRCA Cabinets in all series.
  • Cold forming techniques of manufacture renders outer cabinet strong and tough yet light in weight.
  • Improved design of suction grill profile maintains ideal air entry configuration for radial flow fans by reducing pressure loss at entry point to a negligible level and achieves consumption close to the theoretical air horsepower.
  • A space age method of surface finish two component polyurethane, superior to conventional methods because of high level of resistance to corrosion and abrasion and enhanced aesthetics is coated on interior and exterior of the cabinet. JMT is also available with electrostatic powder coating.
  • Aerodynamic design of radial flow fan impellers with polished stainless steel blades and resilient mounted drive end bush and supporting end pin ensure low turbulent displacement of air at low noice level. Number of blades, blade profile and placement are arrive at after considerable practical experimentation and studies.
  • Fixed guide vanes inside the fan scroll eliminate short cycling of the air and enable air displacement at optimum energy consumption.
  • Sintered special metallic bushes absorb and retain lubricants. Therefore frequent lubrication is not necessary.
  • Compact powerful motor for smooth starting, trouble-free running and continuous operation with low power consumption.
  • Resilient suspension mounting system for installing the unit makes for ease of installation, prevents transfer of vibration from unit to mounting structure and simplifies removal of equipment for servicing.
  • Air Curtains are available in Single Phase / Three Phase velocity ranging 12 to 18 mtrs./sec. HFS 22 mtrs./sec. are available only in Three Phase and Flame Proof models of 15 mtrs./sec. to 18 mtrs./sec. velocity are available in Three Phase only.

HIM TM STRENE HIPS (Hi Impact Polystyrene Sheets) :

blister packaging filmThese contain a small amount of rubber which improves the materials impact and high temperature resistance. Products manufactured from this material can have excellent surface finish ideally suited to printing.

Hip Sheets are available in thickness ranging from 0.5 mm to 6 mm in various colors like natural, ice blue and light beige.

Electrical Properties
Good electrical resistance values that are virtually independent of the moisture content. PS shows a marked tendency to form electrostatic charges - the old style PS rulers can be used to demonstrate static electricity with small pieces of paper, the classic demonstration.

Optical Properties
The transparent types of standard polystyrene have a light transmission of about 90 in the visible range. Absorption increases considerably in the UV range. The refractive index is 1.59.

Resistance to weathering
PS is not recommended for long-term use in the open air as it is degraded by UV rays. This is reflected in yellowing and loss of surface gloss and by a decrease in mechanical strength. Darker formulations perform better than pale or transparent types.

Surface treatment
Printing, lacquering and hot stamping are all possible. PS can be given a mirror finish with a metallic gloss by high-vacuum metallizing with a clear lacquer applied for protection.

Welding
Ultrasonic welding is normally used. High strengths can be achieved with impulse welding. HF welding is not suitable.

Bonding
Only parts of the same type can be bonded together. Solvent adhensives such as toluene or methylene chloride are normally used. Impact adhensives are used for bonding with different materials.

Health & Safety
PS is physiologically safe.
